Explore the River Path

The river bike path entrance is one short block down Gilroy Street

Bikes are the perfect way to explore the rich history of the river, once the center of life for the Tongva people. The 11-mile scenic stretch called the Glendale Narrows supports snowy egrets, green and blue herons, double-crested cormorants, stilts, sandpipers, swallows and migrating birds like Canadian geese. (More info here https://lariver.org/ecosystem). You’ll see provocative community art and colorful graffiti, impromptu happenings such as DJ sets or performances in and along the river, giant jumping carp, and a plethora of delicious dining and drinking options along the way.
